My Bio

Married to a wonderful woman (Lois Seitz) since 1965, and it was one of the best things I have ever done. I have been a cabinet maker, remodeling contractor, Life Insurance Sales, Investment Sales, Fund Raiser, Pastor, Software Trainer, a Software Designer and now retired, loving ever moment of it.

I am an active member of Harrisonburg Mennonite Church, where I teach and participate in classes on spirituality, living as a redeemed child of God and other biblically based themes. Worship of our great creator God is an important activity for my soul and spirit.

Oh Yeah, Even though I started to ride my 850 BMW in 1966 a crash in 1968 caused me to sell it, and I have not owned a cycle since. Not that I have dreamed to do so, but just have decided, it was not the best for me.

My Interests and Hobbies

One reason I like retirement so much is because I have some great interests. The first is my dog Jessie. She is a Pudelpointer, a versatile hunting dog and we hunt together when we can. March 2007 she will be five years old, and she goes with me just about everywhere. She is satisfied even when it means waiting in the jeep for me to return.

I also love to do odd jobs for people. Even though this has slowed down some since my Hip Replacement (That old cycle crash in 1968), knee surgery and shoulder surgery all within 14 months of each other.

One of my favorite activities is Wine Making. I have over 70 grape vines at my place, besides elderberry, black berry, currents and other fruits. A friend of mine (A Harley Rider) and I have planted over 120 grapevines on his place. I am able to make more than 50 gallons of wine each year.

Then there is Golf. My wife and I play golf together at least three times per week durning the summer. In the Spring and Fall we play weekly when it is warm enough. This year we played on New Years Day 2007, it was nearly 70 degrees here in Virginia.
Well I have other interests but this is enough for now.
