Lehman Trikes Offers Good Turn Trike Program

Lehman Trikes is gearing up for its annual “Good Turn Trike” award! The “Good Turn Trike” is a program started by Lehman that converts a recipient’s motorcycle into a trike. The recipient is a person that, despite physical or financial means, continues to make a positive impact in the lives of others and illustrates the program’s motto of “one good turn deserves another”.

The deadline for entries is just around the corner and Lehman Trikes is seeking entries from the motorcycle industry.

The program was started in the mid-1990s by Lehman Trikes and became an annual event just a few years ago.  Applications are accepted throughout the year and are available at Lehman dealerships and on the Lehman Trikes website. Applications for this year’s award must be submitted by April 30, 2010 and a winner is chosen by May 31, 2010.

The 2009 recipient of the Good Turn Trike award was Chad Pierson of Hubbard, Iowa!
A large crowd of bikers showed up in the rain and took over Main Street in the rural community of Hubbard, Iowa, on August 15, 2009, to show their support for the 2009 Good Turn Trike recipient, Chad Pierson. Lehman Trikes along with Timm's Trikes of St. Charles, MN, happily presented Chad with his newly converted 2004 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide trike. Chad, who was diagnosed with Parkinson's two years ago, was nominated by family and friends because balance was becoming an issue while riding on two wheels.

Chad was chosen out of many applicants because of his constant positive and philanthropic nature, despite the circumstances he lives with. He has played a large and important role with his riding group, "The Lost Cause" and has been one of the most instrumental people of the group, constantly pushing them to do as much charity work as possible.

“Good Turn Trike” Program
Over the years, Lehman Trikes has donated many trikes to individuals under the name of “Good Turn Trike”.

At Lehman Trikes USA, Inc., we understand the passion for the open road, and as the Leader of the Three World, we know how important that feeling of freedom is and what it can bring to a person’s life.

Program Overview

Good Turn Trike has been established as a yearly program where Lehman Trikes USA, Inc., with the help of its dealer principles, will donate a trike conversion to an individual person, organization, or company for the purpose of goodwill and promotion. The trike conversion is generously installed on the recipient’s personal motorcycle.

The purpose of Good Turn Trike is to allow anyone with a love for motorcycles to keep riding despite physical or financial means and to pay recognition to the people who go above and beyond, who overcome adversity, and who strive to make a difference in this world.
