Motorcycle Industry Council (MIC) members will not want to miss the communications symposium, Inroads to the Future, on October 27. The symposium is a full day, MIC members-only event in Carson, California. It is a great opportunity to get to know other members and hear timely information about the economy and the state of the American consumer from some inspirational and unforgettable speakers.

The day begins at 8AM with a continental breakfast. Tim Buche, MIC president and CEO kicks off the meeting with MIC Board Chairman Larry Little.

Next Dr. Esmael Adibi, director of Chapman University’s A. Gary Anderson Center for Economic Research and holder of the Anderson Chair in Economic Analysis will talk about what is coming next for our local, state, and national economies and is a real turnaround on the horizon. He will also discuss compelling new information on consumer spending, interest rates, and employment.

Brian Beaulieu from Institute for Trend Research will follow and will introduce the first of the new MIC quarterly business forecasts that includes key content from ITR and from MIC Research.

Lunch will be served around noon

The afternoon will continue the always popular Dr. Paul Leinberger of The Futures Company. Dr. Leinberger will present “Winning in an Age of Uncertainty: The 2011 State of the American Consumer.” Leinberger will review the findings of the 2011 State of the American Consumer survey – the nation's most comprehensive consumer trends survey. With a special emphasis on the Millennial Generation, he will then suggest concrete steps you can take to make 2012 a banner year – in spite of unprecedented uncertainty and change. A working session with Dr. Leinberger will follow his presentation.

There is no cost to attend other than your time. Feel free to share this information with your colleagues and invite them to attend as well. The information is timely, relevant and well worth your investment of a day. Please let us know if you have any questions or need any additional information. We look forward to seeing you at the symposium.
