Rocky Mountain Kawasaki hosts annual open house

The cool spring weather was a factor in the eyes of some, but many motorcycle enthusiasts joined in the festivities at Rocky Mountain Kawasaki’s Annual Open House on Saturday.

Marshall Cook, General Manager, and his staff kept things moving by introducing visitors to new bikes, setting up demo rides, and answering queries about motorcycling in general.  

In addition, Bikers swapped stories about motorcycling, listened to the band, visited with vendors, and enjoyed refreshments while shopping the extensive inventory of accessories and gear for motorcycle touring, trail riding, and racing.

Daytona 200 Sportbike Mileage Record Holder, Ricky Orlando...

Ricky Orlando, Daytona 200 Sportbike mileage record holder, was on hand to sign autographs and tell about his storied career in motorcycle racing.  In March of 2011, Ricky entered the Daytona 200 for the 24^th time in his career and claimed the mileage record at 3856 miles. 

Orlando intends to extend his record in 2012 and has no plans to stop racing at the Daytona International Speedway. He confided that he: “hopes to set a record that will be hard to break.”

Orlando has been sponsored by Rocky Mountain Kawasaki for many years.

Scot pin striping Joanna's Sportbike

Another feature of the Open House was creative graphics by Scot. In these photos, Scot places pin striping on Joanna’s Sportbike. The graphics were won in a door prize giveaway and are applied freehand by Scot. 

Joanna was excited as she watched the transformation of her pride and joy to a very personal appearance. 

When asked if the economic downturn impacted his business, Scot replied; “What downturn!”
