Zero Motorcycles, the leading manufacturer of electric motorcycles, has announced the establishment of a “mobile office” in Denver, CO. Staffed by a new Team ZERO Regional Leader, Zero will now be offering local demo rides of their high performance Zero X electric dirt bike.
Zero chose Denver, Colorado because of its progressive stance on the environment, number of outdoor enthusiasts, and interest in exploring alternative transportation technologies. The Zero X electric motorcycle is designed to be high performance and fun while leaving a minimal footprint on the environment.
“At Zero Motorcycles, we want to reach out to both small and large communities to share the excitement of the Zero X. It represents the present and future of motorcycles and we couldn’t be more proud,” said John Lloyd, VP of World Wide Sales.” We want customers in Denver to know that we’re working to reach out to their community to share this new recreational and transportation innovation. As part of this effort, we’re hosting local demo rides and inviting consumers to take the motorcycle for a spin.”
The Zero X is designed from the ground up to operate on 100% electric power. Zero Motorcycles’ founder, Neal Saiki, applied his background in aerospace and as an award winning mountain bike designer to develop this technology. The chassis is made out of aircraft aluminum making it one of the lightest motorcycle frames on the planet at only 18 pounds. The Zero X combines this light weight frame with over 300 custom designed parts and the result is a motorcycle weighing about 145 pounds. That is 80 – 120 pounds lighter than of its gas counterparts.
Making the Zero X even more unique from its competition is the use of a special high power Lithium Ion power pack. It is the only motorcycle in production today that incorporates this powerful, longer lasting, and more efficient battery solution. Zero Motorcycles’ patent-pending high capacity power grid technology has the highest energy density (energy per pound) on the market. It is capable of delivering the full current of the battery pack instantly and safely. Riders can enjoy up to 2 hours of quality riding without seeing any impact on performance. Perhaps the best part is, the Zero X power pack is also 100% recyclable and non-toxic.
