Harley-Davidson's new Harley-Davidson Metal Thunder Hybrid Ultra-Light helmet

Combining an ultra-light design, with the protection riders expect, the new men's Metal Thunder Hybrid Ultra-Light Half Helmet from Harley-Davidson MotorClothes delivers the highest level of comfort and usability. Photo provided by Harley-Davidson...

The helmet's hybrid fiberglass and Aramid shell is manufactured using pre-impregnated resin to be more compact and 17 percent lighter than traditional fiberglass designs. Total weight is just 1 lb. 6 oz. A soft, anti-microbial comfort liner wicks away sweat and is removable for washing. Dual front air vents and a removable shortie visor complete the package. Available in XS - XXL sizes. Meets DOT requirements and is manufactured by KBC®.  Part number is: 97296-09VM, $200.

Riders can also plug into hands-free music and conversation with the Road Tech™ Bluetooth® 2.0 Headset System (P/N 98272-09VM, $200). Small and easy to install, it offers excellent audio quality and fits all helmet styles.

The Metal Thunder Hybrid Ultra-Light Half Helmet and Road Tech Bluetooth 2.0 Headset System are available in April at most Harley-Davidson dealerships.
