Harley-Davidson introduces innovation in Premium Tour-Pak, LCD Dipstick, and more

The new Premium Tour-Pak Rack Bag from Harley-Davidson Genuine Motor Accessories is designed specifically for motorcycle touring, but still looks nice enough to carry into a luxury hotel. The shell is durable, UV- and water-resistant 1680 denier ballistic nylon, and features reflective piping for added visibility and a built-in rain cover with reflective stripe. Heavy-duty zippers open to reveal a large storage space with three zippered interior mesh pockets. Two zippered exterior pockets offer convenient access for maps, sunscreen, and other roadside essentials. The bag mounts to the luggage rack with quick-disconnect clips, and has a comfortable handle and removable shoulder strap.

 

Finished with a Harley-Davidson script logo, this bag is designed to fit Harley-Davidson models equipped with a Tour-Pak Luggage Rack (except Mini Rack), or the Premium Sidecar Luggage Rack. The bag’s (P/N 94807-09), dimensions are: 20.5 inches wide x 9.5 inches tall x 13 inches deep with a capacity of 2,000 cubic inches, retails for $229.95.

                          

The new digital oil level and temperature dipstick with lighted LCD readout (P/N 63004-09 chrome, P/N 63030-09 black; $139.95), comes with improved sensors for ultimate accuracy.  The dipstick displays the oil level and oil temperature, of 2007and later touring models, with the push of a button.

 

                                

Now featuring improved “capacitive” level sensing technology, this dipstick provides the highest degree of accuracy and durability. This digital dipstick makes it possible to check oil level without touching a hot dipstick, without hunting for a rag, and without dripping oil on exhaust pipes or the garage floor.

 

When activated by pushing a button, the brilliant backlight display indicates oil level with a four-segment graph, digital temperature in Fahrenheit or Celsius, and also offers a reminder to check the oil when it is hot. The waterproof display is powered by a long-lasting, replaceable Lithium coin-type battery and has a low-battery indicator.

Add luster to 2009 Harley-Davidson Touring models with these new Chrome Nine-Spoke Cast Wheels (P/N 41886-09 front, P/N 41889-09 rear; $549.95 each).

 

Though styled to match the original-equipment wheels used on Touring models, these brilliant wheels are manufactured with tooling developed specifically for chrome-plating that results in a near-perfect finish without the “waves” created when polishing the original-equipment cast wheel.

 

 

The rib feature of the original equipment wheel spoke is removed to provide a smoother look, and countless hours of polishing result in a superior finish. Special masking was developed to prevent plating corrosion inside bolt holes and bearing sleeve areas.

 

All Genuine Motor Accessory wheels are certified to perform to tough Harley-Davidson standards for handling, quality and durability. All H-D wheels also bear the DOT and JWL marking, ensuring that they passed the tests and meet the standards of those agencies. Wheels require a separate purchase of a model-specific Wheel Installation Kit.

Originally featured on the 2009 Harley-Davidson CV Road Glide model, this Saddlebag Extension Kit (P/N 90999-09, $299.95), will fit any 2004-later Touring model equipped with hard saddlebags. When installed, the extensions visually stretch the saddlebags and wrap around the exhaust for a true “tail dragger” look.

 

Manufactured from the same durable ABS material as the original-equipment saddlebags, these unfinished extensions are ready to prime and paint to match an original or custom color. No filler or re-painting of the original-equipment bag is necessary. Finish the look with available Color-Matched Saddlebag Filler Strips (sold separately) to fill in the gaps between the fender and the rear of the saddlebags, hiding the saddlebag mounting bracket.
