Competitors from AMA Pro Road Racing, some of the most daring and talented riders in the world, made Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course their home this past weekend for the Honda Super Cycle Weekend presented by Dunlop Tire.
Local favorite Larry Pegram, made his way to Lexington, Ohio, along with top competitors Tommy Hayden, Jake Zemke, Josh Hays, Danny Eslick, Ben Bostrom, Steve Rapp, and Bobby Fong. Four classes of riders, including National Guard American SuperBike, Daytona SportBike presented by AMSOIL, SuperSport and the new Vance & Hines XR1200, were featured.
Thrilling passes, and frequent side-by-side competition, not to mention spectacular wipeouts by contending racers, led to some of the best racing in decades.
In the Daytona Sportbike Race on Sunday, Martin Cardenas and Josh Herrin, podium finishers in Saturday’s races, crashed and lost valuable time and position in the final standings.
