ABATE District 13 is hosting its “Biker Rights Fund Raiser” at Plaza Lafayette, 400 W. South Boulder Road, Lafayette, CO, on Saturday, June 30, 2007. Registration is between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m.
ABATE (A Brotherhood Active Towards Education) is a non-profit motorcyclists' rights organization dedicated to preserving individual freedom and promoting safety. Motorcyclists are encouraged to wear proper safety gear when riding, however ABATE believes in the freedom of choice. As such ABATE advocates, through the legislative and other acceptable public action processes, for each motorcyclist’s right to choose what safety gear to wear and when to wear it.
ABATE of Colorado operates the largest rider training program in Colorado, as well as offering a motorist awareness program.
The rodeo and bike show is open to all street legal bikes including, touring, cruisers, metrics, sport bikes, rat bikes and VRods, etc. Trophies will be awarded.
The South American Bike Saga slide show will be featured along with music and dancing.
The rodeo and bike show will include prizes, drawings, t-shirts and vendors.
