Carole Nash Motorcycle Live Proves A Hit

The revamped Carole Nash Motorcycle Live at The NEC, Birmingham was attended by almost 100,000 people, despite taking place during the worst November weather conditions Britain has experienced for many years.

The new-look nine-day event ran from 27 November to 5 December 2010 and has received strong praise from manufacturers, exhibitors and visitors alike. Honda UK returned to the Event after a one-year break and General Manager Steve Martindale has already hailed it a success: “This year’s Event has possibly been the best we’ve seen in a number of years with a really fresh new feel and great buzz around the halls.”

Kawasaki’s Sales and Marketing Manager Michael Johnstone is in agreement:

    "The event was awesome – really, really positive for Kawasaki. We had a huge amount of interest in the bikes and the whole team left feeling really pumped." Marketing Manager of Phoenix Distribution Wendy Hearn also had a good experience: "It was absolutely fantastic. All the comments I've heard from journalists, visitors, dealers etc. have all been so positive and this bodes very well for next year."

One such positive comment comes from visitor Pete Newell, who attended the event on the opening day: “I went to Carole Nash Motorcycle Live with my daughter and a friend. We were in the doors bang on 10am and full on until 6pm – what a fantastic day out! The event was well laid out and well organised, so my thanks to the organisers, sponsors and to the manufacturers who this year turned out in force to support what must surely be the UK’s premier motorcycle show.”

With 38 manufacturers and almost 200 other exhibitors present, interactive features giving visitors of all ages the opportunity to get on two wheels and non-stop bike-themed entertainment, the event had more to offer than ever before. The final product was the culmination of months of work by organisers MCI Exhibitions, who worked in close partnership with The NEC to ensure event offered enough attractions to bring in the crowds.

    “This has long-been one of the most important events in The NEC portfolio and it’s one that we are very keen to see return each year,” explains Kathryn James, MD of NEC Venue. “The past 11 months have been a real effort from all parties to make it the best yet and we can certainly say that from our point of view Carole Nash Motorcycle Live 2010 was a success.”
