Top 50 Rally Park postponing it's 2009 events

Beginning with the 2002 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, Legend Air Suspension started the Legend Top 50 Custom Bike Show. The bike builder competition, with overwhelming attendance and sponsor support, quickly outgrew the Independent Cycle Inc./ Legend Air Suspension parking lot over the next few years, so owner Jesse Jurrens purchased land and developed the Top 50 Rally Park.

 

From 2004 to 2008 the Sturgis Motorcycle event and vending location has grown in attendance and vendors each year. The high risk/exciting entertainment at this event location brought a younger more diverse crowd of motorcycle enthusiasts to Sturgis including sportbike riders and stunt performers.

 

In 2007 Independent Cycle Inc./ Legend Air Suspension and Top 50 Rally Park started the Black Hills UTV Rally for ATV, dirt bike, and side-by-side enthusiasts. This event is held over Labor Day weekend each year and offers demo rides, aftermarket vendors, competitive events, and daily-guided rides for all ages. With the support of participants, off-road magazines and TV shows as well as industry leaders and OEMs such as Arctic Cat, Yamaha, KYMCO, and Kawasaki the event has doubled in size each year.

 

Independent Cycle Inc./ Legend Air Suspension and Top 50 Rally Park are currently “in negotiations” with a well-known event community in order to develop a new business location. This community fully supports not only Independent Cycle Inc./ Legend Air Suspensions’ manufacturing, but also the events Top 50 Rally Park has developed and plans to host in their new hometown. This relocation would place Top 50 Rally Park and Independent Cycle Inc./ Legend Air Suspension together in one, better-equipped location.

 

 

Understanding a move takes a significant amount of time, planning and investment, Top 50 Rally Park will be postponing it’s 2009 events with the intent of continuing to host these annual events again in 2010 at the new location.

 

Top 50 Rally Park will be closed for the 2009 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally as we prepare for our big move. We’d like to thank all our past vendors and sponsors for their support and business over the last 4 years. We encourage those who have watched us with interest and those who have worked with us in the past to stay in contact as we move and develop our new manufacturing and event location.

 

Due to our scheduled move and the inability for the Black Hills UTV Rally to gain reasonable access from Piedmont, South Dakota to the forest service trails this year, the 2009 Black Hills UTV Rally will be postponed for 2009.

 

Independent Cycle Inc./ Legend Air Suspension and Top 50 Rally Park plan to hold the 2010 event at our new location with the assistance of our new business community.

 

As event partners, the Off-Road Riders Association will host a poker run and volunteers will offer guided rides September 5^th-7^th Labor Day Weekend 2009 from the Top 50 Rally Park. The Black Hills UTV Rally has donated each year to this organization in support of their efforts to educate and maintain the trail system in the Black Hills and encourages riders to come out for the informal, but well organized event. The future Black Hills UTV Rally host city and the Black Hills National Forest Service are currently working together to provide us with trail access year-round and for the 2010 event. Considering the new host community’s reputation along with all our present OEM and industry backing we expect the 2010 event will be bigger and better than ever before, offering more for all of the UTV rally participants to do, see and enjoy, not to mention a well recognized and welcoming community.
