The first-ever South Texas Biker Jam and Expo will debut at Houston’s Reliant Arena , Saturday, May 28th from 10 a.m. - 10 p.m. and Sunday, May 29th from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. Motorcycle and adrenaline enthusiasts from across the Southeast will gather under one roof for the ultimate biker experience. Touted to be the largest motorcycle show in the Southeast, scores of new bikes, products and family entertainment will be featured. South Texas Biker Jam & Expo celebrates the thrill of owning and riding motorcycles.
The SOTX Biker Jam and Expo will gear up with both V-Twin and Metric motorcycles, showcasing the freshest machines by bringing the shop straight to the rider. The premiere event is sure to rev up business in the area as thousands of riders convene for the most interactive motorcycle sports and entertainment experience in Houston. Colin Lee, Operations Manager of the Stubbs Family of Powersports, said that his organization “is excited to participate in the 1st Annual South Texas Biker Jam & Expo for 2011. We feel that this Expo is vital to the power sports industry in Houston and look forward to opening day on May 28, 2011!"
CJ Van Wart, President of Infinite Promotions, producers of the 2-day event, said “this has been a dream for many years. My partner and I share a passion for the motorcycle industry and wanted to fill a void in the marketplace for the consumer and manufacturer. This event brings everyone in the business together under one roof, which in this industry is unique.”
Bikers and motor aficionados can see and experience the latest in bikes, parts, accessories and apparel. Expect demo rides, freestyle stunt riders, and vintage motorcycle exhibits. Get your own bike customized on the spot with unique show accessories. In addition, meet product specialists, see a biker-style fashion show with leather, and compete in an outrageous tattoo design competition, which will be judged by Robert Hammonds, owner of Wicked Ink and his team of tattoo artists as well as a custom bike competition, which will be judged by Craig Whitford, owner of CC Trikes & Hostile Cycles and Troy Nicholson, owner of Lightning Cycle Works.
You will also be able to attend and participate in a live auction, where all proceeds will benefit the Texas Honor Ride. Enjoy the live music of 22 bands offering many genres including: Ernie Trevino Band, Funk Among Us, JLBB, Knocturnal Madness, Krimson, Lady Vee, Larry Grisham & The Beat Daddy’s (with a tribute to Mean Gene Kelton), Lone Star Hippie, Michael’s Gate, Outlaw Lynn & Who’s Drivin’, Rowe Band, Scars Heal In Time, SID 17, Smokey Wilson, & Texas City Revelators. Enjoy a cooking demonstration by: “Biker Billy Cooks With Fire”, guest appearance by Glenn McDuffie, the “Kissing Sailor”, and participate in the Cruzin Cooler Races, which will be hosted by Chuck Miller. Tickets are on sale now at all Ticketmaster outlets, online at Ticketmaster.com, and at the Reliant Stadium South Ticket Windows. Reduced rates are offered for tickets purchased in advance online, however full-price tickets may be purchased at the door. One-day tickets start at $15; two-day tickets are $22. Special rates are available for the military and public servants. For those visiting the show from out of town, book a stay at partner hotels and receive 4 complimentary show tickets.
