Email information for XPeed XCF3000 Full Face Carbon Motorcycle Helmet

From the moment you pick up the XPeed motorcycle helmet, you will want to learn more about it, and you will want to seriously consider owning one. The helmet we reviewed has sensible graphics, is lightweight, and is unusually comfortable. These are legitimate considerations when a motorcyclist heads out for a long ride. Of course these factors must be weighed against the real purpose of a helmet: i.e. safety and head protection. All things considered, at this point in time, this is one of my favorite motorcycle helmets. Read on…

First Impression…

Take a look at the photos included, and I think you will agree the graphics are well designed, integrated and applied. The combination of colors and shading draw attention to the helmet and are in good taste. The helmet’s user/owner will feel comfortable in any environment, with any group of motorcyclists, as colors coordinate well with blacks, reds, grays: or colors often seen on motorcycles and gear.

Now, put it on. This is where this helmet begins to differentiate itself from other motorcycle helmets. It slips on real easy. This alone may not mean a whole lot and could mean that the model is simply too large to fit your head shape and size. But, assuming you have the correct size of the XPeed XCF3000, the fit and feel is awesome.

There are no pressure points, and again the helmet is light. It does not shake around and may come as close as you can get to forgetting you have a helmet on your head.

Features…
  • Full face helmet with full carbon shell
  • Lightweight at 3 lbs.
  • Dual-density, lightweight EPS applied
  • Fog-free shield applied
  • Air-channeled forehead and venturi exhaust vents
  • Fully removable, washable, and sublimated liners: the liners are made of a dense, soft, and slippery material. Unlike some helmet liners, this liner does not become tacky when moist.
  • Removable tool-free shield mechanism
  • Removable air guide for reducing shield fogging
  • Adjustable chin vent switch
  • All materials meet or exceed Snell and DOT standards for construction and safety.
Operation/Application
The correctly sized XPeed XCF3000 is snug and allows a motorcyclist to move the helmet without a lot of friction. It does not shake and/or vibrate while riding, it is cool, due in part to an excellent vent system, and it is comfortable.

The vent system begins with an open or close switch in front center of chin bar and outside air is routed up past the inside of the face shield. From a second set of vents, air is also routed to either of the rider’s chin and face. This set of vents can be opened or closed from the inside of the helmet to increase rider comfort. There are two rotating doors that can be opened or closed before putting the helmet on for riding. Air is drawn to the top of the helmet where two additional inlets (may be opened or closed) bring air into the helmet. Then air is vented through two exhaust vents at the rear of the helmet.

This helmet is designed to provide riders with a wide field of vision. The face shield is easy to operate. The chinstrap is a standard retention system: i.e., a Double D-ring chinstrap retention system.

Value
The XCF3000 XPEED can be purchased for less than $399.00. Not a lot of money to secure and protect the motorcycle operation control center. Outstanding qualities are ventilation, face shield effectiveness, color/graphic design, weight, ease of fastening the strap, and fit and comfort.

At this price point, you can pay more and you can pay less. Average price paid for contemporary motorcycle helmets in 2010/2011 is $209.00 according to a survey by J.D. Power and Associates.   This helmet will serve you well and is comparable in many ways to more costly helmets.
