VaVaVroom 'Those Girls' Ladies Fitted Tee

Like me, I’m sure you appreciate clothing that fits and not just until you wash it. I want clothes that I can wash, throw in the dryer, and when they come out…still fit.   That cannot be said for most of my cute motorcycle t-shirts that come out of the dryer the size of Barbie clothes. They need to be dried flat to prevent shrinkage. How easy is that to do on a motorcycle trip? 

I met Denise Maple, President of VaVaVroom, at the 2010 Dealer Expo in Indianapolis last February, and was impressed with her designs and the fabrics she used for her lady biker t-shirts. VaVaVroom is a motorsport clothing and gear company devoted to female motorcycle enthusiasts.   Founded in 2007, Denise set out to provide female motorcycle enthusiasts with fashionable, functional motorcycle clothing and gear for women of all sizes (XS-5XL).

Because, VaVaVroom shirts are designed around the sport, and include different styles of motorcycles in the shirt’s design. Cute tag lines also complement the shirts. “I’m one of those girls.” “Talk dirty to me” (on a dirt bike shirt), and “I HEART Motorcycles.”

 

For this review, we chose the “Those Girls” Ladies Fitted Tee. Silk-screened 4 oz. 100% preshrunk lightweight jersey cotton, the shirt has a long, tapered body and shorter sleeves for a classic feminine fit. It is offered in black and cactus green, fitted or relaxed styles, and sizes small-5XL.

 

The fitted tee is soft, comfortable, and the fabric has enough stretch to fit and accentuate your curves while still leaving a little to the imagination…if you know what I mean.

The Those Girls Ladies’ Fitted Tee features a signature lady rider on a sport bike with the words “I’m One of ‘Those’ Girls” silkscreened on the front of the shirt. The fitted tee is 4 oz., 100% preshrunk lightweight jersey cotton. The fitted tee has a long, tapered body with shorter sleeves for a feminine fit. 

 

The relaxed fit tee is 5.6 oz., 100% preshrunk cotton tee has a fuller body with tapered sleeves, and features the same silkscreened “I’m One of ‘Those’ Girls” graphic on the front.

This is a quality made shirt.  Seams, hems, and collar are all sewn perfectly; no dangling threads or crooked stitching. The weight of the fabric makes this a shirt you can wear when riding. This tee is not going to stretch out from the wind when riding, and it is the perfect weight for summer riding; not too thin and not too heavy.

The best part of this tee, in my opinion, is that you can wash it, dry it in the dryer, and it actually fits afterwards. The tee came out of the washer and dryer looking and fitting like it did pre-washer/dryer. Compare the photo after washing and drying below to the photo at the top of the review. How many other women’s biker shirts do that? 

 

The tee is also cut straight. We have all had experiences with tees where the side seams are no longer on the sides after they are washed, but rather twist diagonally because they were cut on the bias. I have a $75 Ed Hardy tee like that, and it looks like a rag. VaVaVroom has managed to manufacture a great tee that looks as good after you wash it as it did new.

The Those Girls Ladies’ Fitted Tee sells for $25.99; an excellent value for a quality shirt. I have spent twice that amount on other name brand motorcycle shirts of lesser quality.
