Email information for BikeCondom motorcycle cover

Introduction

BikeCondom may seem like an unusual name for a product designed to protect your pride and joy…motorcycle that is. Cover, jacket, wind-breaker, tarp, and/or shroud might have also been used to describe this bike cover. However, none have or will capture the imagination of a motorcyclist or the nature of the product like Bike Condom.

A top 10 winner in the Kickstart New Product Contest at the 2010 Dealer Expo, the Bike Condom captured the attention of Dealer Expo visitors. Most left the well-attended event in Indianapolis with an understanding of and appreciation for the Bike Condom.

Features

BikeCondoms are made of PEVA (polyethylene vinyl acetate/vinyl ), a lightweight, durable and biodegradable material that can be reused multiple times if cared for properly. Bike Condoms are a disposable, one-size-fits-all half-cover for most motorcycles.

Attached to the perimeter is a heavy elastic binding, which secures the Bike Condom to your motorcycle. Each BikeCondom comes in a resealable package that can be stowed in a space no larger than 4” x 6” x 1”. It can be compressed to the size of a softball.

Operation/Application

Place the Bike Condom on the top-half of your motorcycle. Coverage will vary based on the size of motorcycle, fairings, and luggage.   The arrow on the BikeCondom should point towards the front tire. Elastic will fit snugly around the exterior of your motorcycle. Tuck excess covering under the elastic binder. After use, re-insert the BikeCondom into the reseable package for reuse. Or if you you prefer, simply dispose of it.

A BikeCondom will provide protection to front fender, windshield, handlebars and controls, engine, rider and passenger seat, and rear fender on most motorcycles. For full dressers, the BikeCondom will cover the fairing including windshield, handlebars and controls, fuel tank, a portion of the engine, rider and passenger seat.

BikeCondoms will melt when exposed to extremely high temperatures and should not come close to hot engine components or exhaust pipes. After the motorcycle has cooled for five minutes, the BikeCondom can be installed.

Value

You can purchase a BikeCondom for $9.99, shipping is free anywhere in the US. Quantity discounts, ranging from 25% to 30%, are also available.

Summary

The BikeCondom is reusable and does not take up much space. The PEVA material and elastic binding are very durable and there is just a little bit of stretch built into the fabric. In addition to providing protection in the event of rain, having one along in case of a hailstorm could be a lifesaver to the finish while providing a protective cushion to any of the more fragile accessories on your motorcycle.
