Email information for Gerbing's G3 Heated Gloves

Who knew that Gerbing could improve on their Classic Heated Gloves! But they have done just that with their new G3 Heated Gloves.

I, personally, am a huge fan of heated gear. Friends that used to laugh at the plug-in cord trailing out from under my leather jacket (my Gerbing umbilical cord) have now purchased their own heated liners and gloves. Heated gear not only makes riding in cooler weather more enjoyable, but heated gloves improve motorcycle handling in cold weather. Cold, stiff fingers make clutch and throttle management difficult and reduce reaction time. In cold weather, you no longer have to go shivering and shaking down the highway on your bike.

You can find information on Gerbing’s Heated Clothing in our review titled: “Gerbing’s Classic heated Gloves” (http://www.cyclematters.com/motorcycle-product-reviews/motorcycle-gear/gerbings-classic-heated-leather-gloves.cfm), on this website.  You might also find the Gerbing Heated Motorcycle Jacket Liner product review on this website helpful.

In this review, I will focus only on the changes or differences in the Gerbing’s G3 Heated Gloves.

Comfort:
The new G3 Heated Gloves are made of softer more pliable leather with gel cushioned palms. The 3-1/4” gauntlet style, while shorter than the 4-1/2” Classic Heated Glove, are less bulky, and adequately covers my jacket sleeve and forearm. The G3 has an exceptionally comfortable fit. The glove fits my hand and fingers so well that I can pick up a pen and write with my gloves on. Best of all, the gloves includes an adjustable wrist closure that ensures the glove fits securely around your wrist and keeps the heat in where you need it.

As with the Classic Gloves, the entire lengths of each finger, as well as the back of the hand, are well-heated. Connector cables are located on the top of each glove and can be worn by themselves or plugged into the sleeve of a Gerbing heated jacket or liner. As with all Gerbing products, heating elements come with a lifetime warranty.

Quality and Value:
Same great quality and value as Gerbing’s Classic Gloves and other Gerbing products.

Price:
The price of Gerbing’s G3 Heated Gloves are $169; slighter higher than the Classic Heated Gloves at $139, but the better fit and soft leather are worth it.

Final Thoughts:
LOVE them! I much prefer the G3 over the Classic Heated Glove for comfort and fit. Gerbing seems to have resolved the size and material tag issue I experienced with the Classic gloves. The G3 tags stay tucked securely inside the gloves. I also prefer the shorter gauntlet style. They are much easier to pull on over jacket sleeves and less bulky. These gloves are worth the investment and really keep your hands warm.
