First Impressions: This 750ml can has enough brake cleaner to last for many uses; in fact, about 200 individual uses. No fragrance is added to the product which means no film is left behind. Most importantly, the Motorex Brake Cleaner dissolves most grease and grime on contact.
Often, maintenance checks, adjustments, and repairs performed prior to an event or in between races must be completed quickly with little margin for error. Maintenance products must then work efficiently.
Application: Motorex is a powerful cleaning spray designed to loosen the toughest dirt and grime buildup. It removes contaminants on brake discs, pads, calipers, engine and metal components, couplings and cable connections while prohibiting corrosion. Motorex Power Brake Cleaner is essential for all disc brake maintenance and ensures that expensive disc pads are not ruined through contamination by lubricants or cleaners.
Quality: This product never fails to impress. This product dissolves it all, from tar, brake dust, bugs, to engine oil. Most importantly, it does not attack or damage rubber, plastic, or painted parts. This product can be used with confidence that component (and system) integrity will not be compromised; very important in racing. The author can enter a race, roll on the throttle, and trust the brakes and related parts will perform to expectations.
Value: A little Motorex Power Brake Cleaner goes a long way, and its versatility makes it a great value. The author watched a professional AMA race team mechanic use this product on a set of superbike throttle bodies. He drenched them with this cleaner. When asked if he was concerned about the rubber seals, he responded, “no worries.”
Final Thought: This product is not the cheapest brake cleaner on the market, but it is the best. Motorex is a Swiss product, and the Swiss know quality. Year after year, this author continues to find new applications for Motorex Power Brake Cleaner and orders more product than the previous year.
