Email information for Air Force Blaster

We first saw the Air Force Blaster demonstrated at a rally somewhere near the Black Hills of South Dakota. I think it was called “Black Hills Motorcycle Rally.” Some think of it as “Sturgis.” At any rate, the Air Force Blaster was impressive, because there is finally there is a way to really clean and drive a clean motorcycle.

This is a real fantasy for any compulsive who spends hours washing, drying and detailing. No matter how long you work at it, no matter how thorough and careful, and no matter how many rags you go through, you eventually have to say to yourself, well done! When you start up your motorcycle and take off, and water comes from some mysterious place and puts a streak on the tank or the fenders and before you get to meet up with your friends, the evidence of all that cleaning and polishing is compromised.

The Air Force Blaster is designed to “blast” water off your motorcycle, and it will do just that! The Air Force comes in a package that provides the right amount of protection from possible damage while being shipped. It is fully assembled and ready to operate with one exception. You will need to attach the 10-foot hose to the steel tube protruding from the front-end cap of the Blaster. Plug it in, turn it on and dry your motorcycle.

Application:
The Air Force Blaster motorcycle dryer is designed to blow warm (20º to 25º above ambient temperature), dry and clean filtered air onto your motorcycle. If done properly (from the top down), and for the right length of time (5 to 7 minutes), your motorcycle will be dry, clean and ready to ride or to apply a detail product.

Simply insert the grounded plug into the wall outlet, place the Air Force Blaster on a clean and dry surface near your motorcycle, get a good hold of the end of hose and turn it on. You can control the velocity of the air force by removing and installing one of six nozzle variations.

We suggest you place the Air Force Blaster away from dust and dirt to preserve the air filtering process. One of the benefits of the Air Force Blaster is that it does filter the air so that no sand particles are blasted onto your motorcycle; only warm and clean air. Other blow dry options; e.g., air compressors and leaf blowers, do not filter the air and dust particles passing through the blower’s system could scratch the surfaces of your motorcycle.

We also found that the process works better if you carry the Blaster in one hand and hold the hose in the other. This way, you can easily move to all surfaces of your motorcycle at an angle that uses the air most efficiently.

When finished, your motorcycle will be dry. You will not have to touch it with a chamois or cloth!  Our first experience with the Air Force Blaster produced a big “WOW!”

As with any machine, if you use it, you will need to maintain it. The Air Force Blaster has two maintenance requirements beyond the common sense care that you should give it. First, you should plan to replace the motor brushes after 500 hours. The motor brushes should be checked between 200 and 250 hours to be sure they are operating as anticipated. This means, under normal use, the user will get four thousand two hundred eighty five uses out of your Air Force Blaster before needing to replace the motor brushes. Carbon brushes can be purchased for $15.00 from Metropolitan Vacuum Cleaner Co.

The second maintenance requirement is the filter. Filter life is variable and will need to be cleaned or replaced to assure maximum efficiency of your blaster.   A replacement filter costs $5.00.

Features:
The four horsepower Air Force Blaster generates air flow at a rate of 20,250 feet per minute. It is constructed of steel and weighs eight lbs. It comes with a 12-foot cord, a 10-foot heavy duty hose, a neoprene blower nozzle and five piece nozzle variations. The motor is warranted for 5 years and the Blaster for one year. For an additional $22.00, you can purchase a mounting bracket to hang your Air Force Blaster out of harms way when not in use.

Quality and Value:
The Air Force Blaster is very functional and will dry your motorcycle while eliminating water spots on paint and chrome. As stated earlier, it is constructed of steel and has a good quality cord, hose and attachments. It is virtually indestructible, as long as it is not dropped or subjected to moisture, dirt or other elements.

Most importantly, your drying time is cut by at least 75% there is no moisture on your motorcycle. You do not have to worry about water spots and there is an added benefit. Your motorcycle will not rust in the places you cannot reach with a towel

Final Thoughts:
Instead of spending your valuable time drying your motorcycle after thoroughly washing it, you can now spend your time riding it or detailing it. Your choice of course!

If time and quality of your work is important, the Air Force Blaster is a good addition to your cleaning and polishing process.
